Enabling Fonts Anti-Aliasing in Zend Studio

Overview

This article explains how to use anti-aliasing fonts with Zend Studio.

 

 

Disclaimer:
Please note that the suggested workaround detailed in this article is not supported, due to the fact that it depends on the implementation provided by Sun's JRE, which is considered not stable by Sun itself.

 

Instructions

In order to use anti-aliasing fonts in Zend Studio Client edit the ZDE.lax file, located in the 'bin' folder (usually

/usr/local/Zend/ZendStudio-5.5.1/bin/ZDE.lax

). Add the following line to it:

swing.aatext=true

Result

Upon restarting Zend Studio, you should be able to see that anti-aliasing is working for the fonts in Zend Studio GUI.
